Beatles fans were thrilled to see Paul McCartney and Ringo Starr come together for a few songs in Los Angeles.
McCartney surprised the audience at his concert Saturday at Dodger Stadium when he brought his former Beatles bandmate onstage.
“We’ve got a surprise for us, a surprise for you, a surprise for everyone: Ladies and gentlemen, the one and only Ringo Starr!” McCartney told the screaming crowd.
Starr then gave McCartney a hug, said “Peace and love everybody,” and flashed the peace sign to the audience before getting on the drums, as seen in a video shared by Variety writer Chris Willman.
The duo performed “Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band (Reprise)” and “Helter Skelter” during their time onstage together.
“I had a great night last night love you man peace and love,” Starr, 79, tweeted Sunday.
McCartney, 77, also shared a photo from the momentous event that shows him kissing Starr’s head after he stepped onstage.
“Reunited with my favorite Starr,” McCartney captioned the post on Sunday.
Saturday’s show marked the final scheduled concert on McCartney’s latest American tour, which began in May.
Starr, meanwhile, has a slew of shows on the horizon in the United States, including gigs at the Long Island Community Hospital Amphitheater in Farmingville on Aug. 17 and at The Rooftop at Pier 17 in Manhattan on Aug. 18.
Following Starr’s surprise performance, longtime Eagles rocker Joe Walsh came on stage to play “The End” with McCartney on Saturday.
